Hi, I’m Amanda, the nose (and hands) behind Indigo Ray — a collection of small-batch, clean fragrances crafted with intention, a little defiance, and a lot of love.

I started Indigo Ray because, after years of battling PCOS, infertility, and the exhausting quest for products that were actually clean, high-quality, and not outrageously priced, I realized what I wanted didn’t really exist. I didn’t want another cookie-cutter scent or a “clean” perfume that smelled like dryer sheets. I wanted something that didn’t smell like everyone else — because I’m not everyone else. And neither are you.

My background is in art, and I see perfumery the same way: not just as a beauty product, but as a deeply emotional, sensory form of art. Scent is personal. It’s nostalgic. It’s visceral. It taps into memory and emotion faster than any photograph ever could. That’s what hooked me.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, I recently relocated to Portland, Oregon, where I now handcraft every Indigo Ray fragrance in my cozy little home studio — surrounded by fog, forest air, and the occasional existential crisis.

Indigo Ray is about more than smelling good (though, trust me, you will). It’s about creating something that feels real. Clean formulas. No mystery ingredients. No artificial fluff. Just beautiful, intentional fragrance — made by someone who’s lived the struggle, done the research, and fell in love with the art of scent.

Is this safe for all skin types?

• The short answer is, yes. Unless you have an allergy to one of the ingredients listed in each blend, the product is safe for even the most sensitive skin types! I thoroughly test all of my products before making them available to customers. 

Are your products sustainably sourced and vegan? 

• Yes! Each ingredient is carefully curated to maintain sustainability for the plant being used and where it comes from. If at any point an ingredient becomes unavailable due to ethics/sourcing than I am the first to talk about it and reformulate or pull the product all together. Each product is 100% plant based and never tested on animals. 

What is the shelf life of your products?

• One year from the date they are made. I make products weekly to keep them fresh upon shipping to you. I do not use any harsh chemical preservatives or water based products allowing for a much longer shelf life and free of skin irritants. 

How long does it take for shipping?

• Unless you have purchased expedited shipping please allow 3-5 business days. Tracking is always provided upon shipping.
